Amber and James' Couples Shoot at Formby Beach

I love photographing couples. I just love it. After weddings they are the best thing to do and I can never get enough of them. If I get a chance to shoot a good looking couple at a gorgeous location, well I am going to jump at it.

With Covid-19 still raging, weddings have been in short supply - Curse you, you virus - but I am not going to stop that from getting in the way of my second favourite thing... I have known Amber for years, and bless her, she’s had a tough time, things I am not going to go into, but, well, life hasn’t been kind. But in the past few months, things have been looking up, and the future has been looking brighter, so to celebrate that, she, ner partner, James, and myself got together in a socially distanced-kind of way, at Formby Beach near to Liverpool.

Firstly, Formby is a bloody lovely location. It has massive sand-dunes, and a wide and open beach. It makes photography easy and is one of the best locations in the North West for a couples shoot…that was the easy part…the harder bit was that James was not the most comfortable being in front of the camera. BUT! I pride myself with being a photographer who specialises in taking pictures of people who don’t like pictures being taken of them…and I think we managed to get something a bit special.

Anyway, enough nattering on…the pictures…
