Let’s talk weddings
The wedding blog
What have I been doing recently? Looking for Wedding Inspo? Need some wedding advice? Well read some of my blogs to find out...
Martin and Clare's Pre-Shoot in Delamere Forest.
One of the best things about being a Shropshire Wedding Photographer is being able to meet new people and go to new places. Yesterday was such a day when I could do both! Martin and Clare are due to get married in October at the Richmond in Liverpool - a really urban hotel in the centre of the city - so for their wedding pre-shoot we decided to go back to nature and visit a favourite spot of theirs - Delamere Forest.
Kirsty and Jordan's sunshine day at Albrighton Hall, Shrewsbury
The very best way to get a booking as a Shropshire Wedding Photographer is by personal recommendation, and I was lucky enough to get the booking to cover Kirsty and Jordan's short but ever so sweet wedding, from a recommendation by Ceri, a previous bride.
A model, a dress (or two) and a beach...
I love taking pictures, and I take a LOT of pictures, but they are invariably for someone else. They are work pictures, and whilst they are fun, they are not for me...so when I had the chance to work with a fabulous model friend and take some pictures for me...I jumped at the chance.
Amy and Lee's Big day at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel, West Cumbria
If you wanted to find out how to cram a lot into a day - have a talk to Amy who organised a fabulous day for herself and her family at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel in West Cumbria.
Nick and Claire's Perfect day at Broadoaks Country House, Cumbria
Sometimes, everything just goes perfectly. Yeah, there has been planning and a lot of work behind the scenes, but sometimes at a wedding, it all just runs perfectly from start to finish...and that is what happened for Nick and Claire for their wedding day recently. A perfect day.
Mark and Beth's Gift of a Wedding at Blackwell Grange Hotel, Darlington
It is easy to be sidetracked into thinking that there is more bad in the world than good - but it is possible to be reminded that there is good out there too, and I had first hand experience of that on Friday when I was called upon to photograph a wedding - well out of my usual area - at the amazingly newly refurbished Blackwell Grange in Darlington.
David and Diana's Fusion Wedding at Askham Hall
I am a big fan of learning about other cultures. I've travelled, I've spent time seeing people all round the world. I've taken time to talk to other people and learn about them and their lives and their cultures. This is why I think I am so happy to do cross cultural weddings - and fusion weddings are just the very best thing to photograph.
Shaana and Dan at Nunmere Hall
One of the locations that had always appealed to me was Nunsmere Hall. And dreams do come true in September when I was lucky enough to shoot for Shaana and Dan at that very place! It's a glorious venue, with lovely rooms and great facilities, and fabulous grounds. Sadly the rain had put the kibosh on going outside to some of the better locations out there as it was far too muddy, but we still managed to get out for a while in and around the trees!
Charlotte and Jordan's New Mills Wedding Party!
Charlotte and Jordan always seemed like they were party people. Lots of friends, big family...you know the type, never ones to miss a chance to let their hair down and party on...Well this couple from way over in New Mills, Nottingham, didn't let me down with their wedding day, and their party after it.
Anwar and Urmy's Wedding, Birmingham
Well this was a different gig for this Shropshire Wedding Photographer! Anwar and Urmy were celebrating their Nikkah with what I am told is a Walimah feast at the Badshah Palace in Birmingham.
Liverpool, ahhhhh, you never disappoint...
The First wedding of 2018 took me to The Richmond Hotel on Hatton Garden in Liverpool and David and Racheal's big day. It's not far away for a Shropshire Wedding Photographer to visit - just an hour or so, and what makes it even better is I have free accommodation in Liverpool as my mother-in-law lives there! It's what makes Liverpool one of my favourite wedding destinations in the UK.
Shropshire wedding at Albrighton Hall, Shrewsbury
A gorgeous summer’s day at the Albrighton Hall Hotel, near Shrewsbury was the location for Emma and Lucy’s Shropshire wedding. It was an honour to be asked by Emma to photograph their wedding - she said she’d have no-one else, which was lovely!
